The above are some of my sacred magical wood collections, I mainly collected from Malaysia, Thailand, Borneo, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, India and the Himalayas. In the tropical, there are many species of woods and trees, that the natives of these countries believed that are said to have "magical powers". These woods are used by the shaman (known as "Bomoh" or "Tok Batin" as natural protections from evil forces as well as using the woods as medicines to cure ailments and sickness).
RAJA KAYU (KING OF WOODS)
Raja Kayu or King of Woods commands its majestic power in the deep interior jungle of the tropical countries, such as Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Borneo, Cambodia and Laos. Accordingly to the natives (the Orang Asli), the Raja Kayu is one of the talismans which they used to carry to protect themselves from wild animals as well as to ward of evil spirits and spells that were cast in the jungle.
The natives (Orang Asli) who lives in the jungles has sound knowledge of woods possessing magical properties. According to their myths, certain woods are inherited with specific indwelling nature spirits that imbues the woods with such distinctive magical properties.
Other woods in the deep jungles that has magical properties are Kemuning Hitam, Teras Delima, Suloh Bertam, Buluh Tumpat, Kayu Penunduk, Nibong Tunggal, etc..... that possesses different distinctive mystical powers for both physical and spiritual healings.
In the Avatar, in the movie, the natives goes all out to defend the trees and their natural habitat as the trees are their souls and homes. Right on this very Mother Earth, the natives depends on the very trees for their livelihoods and uses the magical woods for their protection in the jungles inhibited by mysterious forces and evil spirits.
With the declined of the moralities and conducts of humans in the modern materialistic world, it has attracted and induced all kinds of evil forces and energies prevailing in the environment we live today. Present nuclear age people, succumb to the devil and evil spirits out of personal greed, hatred and delusion. Like the Natives and Avatar, we need the magical woods for self-protection in this present evil environment which is full of all kinds of evil and negative energies.
